Hi,

Is there a Go 1.6 tarball I can compile as I'd like to load test a http/2 server? And am I correct in saying that the net/http API will remain the same, so I could use the Go HTTP load tool - Vegeta?

There is no pre-1.6 tarball at the moment. You can build it yourself
as described as https://golang.org/doc/install-source.html .

It's fairly likely that there will be a pre-1.6 beta before the
Christmas holidays. I don't know if anybody will build tarballs for
that or not.

I think we might shoot for betas tomorrow. We'll see.

Yes, the API is unchanged.

I've been using the HTTP/2 client in Go 1.6 built from source and it's working great so far. It's so nice that the high-level API is unchanged.

Thank you Brad, et al.

Hi,

I installed Go 1.6 beta and compiled Vegeta with it.  I ran a sample test against an HTTP/2 configured nginx server. The access_log states the requests were successful HTTP/2 requests.
"/news/world" "HTTP/2.0" "200"

No changes were made to the Vegeta code-base and h2 worked out-of-the box as promised.

Many Thanks

Aidy
