Wow, that's a shock to me. Very sad.

He was an integral part of the Go community.

Wow, that really came out of nowhere, for me. I only know him by his posts here and his programming philosophy, but I'll miss his contributions to the community all the same.

Very sad news. My first contact with the Go community was with him, a short e-mail just a few months ago. I was hoping I could send him something really interesting some day. I liked cat-v.org a lot, I learnt a lot. He will be missed.

Damn! How old he was? Accident or medical condition? I lived under an
impression he is quite young, what the ...?! Is there a place to
express condolences to his family?

PS: To announce very his passing in a _HTML mail_ is a tragicomic
irony. He must be laughing right now, wherever he is.

This is very sad news indeed. I was just working on a project with him
a few weeks ago. :-(

Count me among those interested in more details.

RIP uriel.

He will be.

I only know him as a very passionate contributor to the discussions here and on reddit - I actually considered him a bit too evangelical, even when I agreed with him (which was often), but it was still possible to have reasonable discussions with him nonetheless, and he knew his stuff. It wouldn't surprise me if he liked playing the court jester, and it's always good to have someone like that around to prod people out of their comfort zones.

This comes as a shock to me. I did not know Uriel personally, just out of this Forum to which he was an avid contributor. The last Post I remember reading from him was from September 5th regarding Go on Plan 9.

Its odd... because I did notice him being absent from the forum, but I would never have imagined  this sad turn of events. I was under the impression that he was still quite young?

I offer my condolences, to his family and whoever was close to him.
