Hey,

I've been thinking about putting a book together about Go which would follow the philosophy of "Learn Code The Hard Way" with a new approach. Readers would be required to actively participate in creating a fully fledged RESTful back-end application by the end of the book. Instead of having to bit-to-bit copy pieces of code, I would rather ask people to work simple problems out with a test case provided. What do you think about this method?

If you’re interested in such a book, would you have a minute to fill a short survey out? Please submit your answer here: http://bit.ly/1VrQdAO

Many thanks!

Cheers,

László

"Learn X the Hard Way" is a series by Zed Shaw: http://learncodethehardway.org/

I suggest selecting a more original title, as Zed has requested in the past. Using "the Hard Way" in your book will cause confusion.

I asked Zed already about this and he didn't mind if I used this title. He just didn't want that people copied his book by just replacing Python with other codes and publishing a new book this way. He explained that this happened before, some guy created LRubyTHW in this manner.

Okay, awesome. I know he'd spoken out about an issue with it in the past. That's great that you even checked with him. ^_^
