I find that Go is more centered towards software development.

However, a really good Go framework for robotics was released recently called Gobot.

There's always communication through a Raspberry Pi in Go as well.

There's a few more links, but the first couple of results from Google should show you it. Otherwise: http://gobot.io/

For examples, I would suggest going through the documentation or code examples they provide.
