Garbage collector paper

Hi,
I've read a few times that the garbage collector is based on an IBM paper but I'm having trouble finding a reference to the paper itself.
I've looked on the site but can't see any links. Could someone post a link to it?

The current collector is a plain mark-and-sweep. We plan to replace it with a better one, likely taking ideas from the Recycler.
