McAfee quarantines go vet v. 1.10.3 on Windows 10

Hello,

Since a few days, McAfee on Windows 10 quarantines go vet from version 1.10.3. No reason is provided.

After restoring a few times and checking all available updates, I installed 1.11 beta 1 which does not have this issue.

VirusTotal shows my copy of govet.exe from 1.10.3 as clean from everyone including McAffe (except for Cylance):  https://www.virustotal.com/#/file/9528792433144e1e4d07223b2382ebd8927899f51a653155806868d56e93f15e/detection

Have you checked your version there? While unlikely, you may want to first confirm that yours does not actually contain a virus of some sort.

Thanks for the checks. I agree that it must have been a false positive. As McAfee was reporting my computer as clean, I did not check further and erased version1.10.3 with 1.11 beta 1. Next time, I will use VirusTotal to investigate. Thanks for the tip.
