I'm trying to run "goapp vet . " on my project, but it's not working.

I'm getting:

$ goapp vet .

  go tool: no such tool "vet"; to install:

  go get golang.org/x/tools/cmd/vet

Then trying to install it, shows another error:

$ goapp get golang.org/x/tools/cmd/vet

  can't load package: package golang.org/x/tools/cmd/vet: no buildable Go source files in .../go_appengine/goroot/src/golang.org/x/tools/cmd/vet

I'm running go version go1.4.2 (appengine-1.9.20) darwin/amd64

Any thoughts?

Thanks!!

 Just in case anybody else happens to run into this problem...

Install go (brew install go

$ cd go_appengine/goroot/pkg/tool/darwin_amd64
ln -s /usr/local/Cellar/go/1.4.2/libexec/pkg/tool/darwin_amd64/vet vet
$ goapp vet .

Now it works perfect with Atom + go-plus

I still have no idea why goapp vet doen't work out of the box.

I had the same problem with my win10 installation of go_appengine (v. 1.9.28)

The problem was/is that under "/go_appengine/goroot/src/golang.org/x/tools/cmd/vet" (which is under GOROOT) there is some left over stuff (a directory with whitelist) but no code.

Deleting that and the next call to get the vet package succeded.

Cheers,
Jesper
