No.  It leaves it up to you.

But if you're going to host on Google AppEngine, consider https://github.com/matryer/gae-records

pq (https://github.com/bmizerany/pq/) for postgres isn't a bad option.  I'm using it in conjunction with beedb (https://github.com/astaxie).
