Goroutine leak detection

Hi, I wanted to revive a discussion about adding a built-in goroutine leak detection into core language. I left a comment [1] to try and revive the task, for which the last open question I understood was whether to enable it by default. My argument would be no, as in our codebase after running it with goleak library we found over 200k tests that failed, so to upgrade to a version where this is default would require an opt-out mechanism exposed to the user, which would probably require a user-facing API. Curious to hear thoughts on this topic!
