Hello Gophers,

It's been a couple weeks since we've released Go 1.26 RC 1.

Thank you for trying out its new features and running your workloads with it.

Please keep testing it and reporting any issues that come up at go.dev/issue/new.

At this time in the Go 1.26 milestone, there are:

  • a total of 227 open issues

  • 6 issues with a “release-blocker” label. The Go 1.26.0 release is dependent on resolving these issues.

Thanks,

Junyang for the Go team

Hello Gophers,

We are about 3 weeks from the Go 1.26.0 release.

At this time in the Go1.26 milestone, there are:

  • a total of 214 open issues

  • 1 issue with a "release-blocker" label. The Go 1.26.0 release is dependent on resolving these issues.

You can refer to go.dev/s/release for a more detailed description of the release process.

We will post further updates on the release status in this thread.

Thanks,

Carlos for the Go team

Hello Gophers,

Thank you to everyone using Go 1.26 RC 2 and reporting any issues that come up at go.dev/issue/new, and please continue to do so. At this time there are no open issues with a "release-blocker" label in the Go1.26 milestone.

Today we limited the CL submit permission on "release-branch.go1.26" to release coordinators only, and we're starting preparations to release Go 1.26 RC 3 alongside the Go 1.25 and 1.24 minor releases next week. This all suggests we should be on track to release Go 1.26.0 in the second week of February. You can refer to go.dev/s/release for a more detailed description of the release process.

Thanks,
Dmitri for the Go team
