Two weeks left before Go 1.18 freeze

Hello gophers,

Per https://golang.org/s/release, we have approximately two weeks left before we enter the development freeze on November 1st.

Please plan accordingly and ensure that the Go1.18 milestone is an accurate representation of what will go into the release.

Any exceptions to the freeze must be communicated to and explicitly approved by the Go Release Team before the freeze. See the "Tree is open" email for details.

There are currently 59 issues labeled release-blocker in the Go 1.18 milestone. Please take some time to ensure that issues you own are updated.
