Thanks for organising these, I always watch the recordings and find them very interesting. The last recording seemed to be audio only, which made it a bit harder to follow who was saying what. Would it be possible to include the video again?

I'm glad you find them interesting! Unfortunately, I don't know what caused the last recording to be audio-only. I'm pretty sure I did the same thing I always do to record, and that was a surprise to me when I got the file, too. 🫤

Hi,

I again missed this meeting since the calendar event has no reminder/alert :) Any chance you could set them up as a norm?

I typically rely on reminders ten minutes before calls, and surprisingly enough, I cannot add a reminder just for myself on a shared calendar event, unless I duplicate the event entirely.

Looking forward to the recording in any case.

Hi Daniel! Sorry you missed it. As far as I can tell, the event does have a reminder, and the calendar is set to have a default 10 minute reminder. However, it's not clear to me whether this is a per-user setting, so it may be that only applies to me! Assuming you're using Google Calendar, if you go into settings and select the "Go compiler/runtime office hours" calendar on the left navbar, then scroll down to "Event notifications", what do you see? I see "Notification 10 minutes".

You're absolutely right - I never noticed that I could change the default notification settings for calendars shared with me. I assume it only affects my usage of it, and not anyone else's settings for it.

I suppose this means that the events themselves had no reminder, since I saw none until I set the default via the settings. Meaning that others who rely on reminders like me need to remember to change this setting.
