TL;DR: The annual Outward Bound California fundraiser -- rappelling 23 stories off the Hyatt in downtown SF to change lives by sending kids on Outward Bound. My goal is to raise $5,000 so any little bit helps or even join me in rappeling down yourself for a good cause! Best of all, Googlers, Google matches your donations!

Dear friends,

3rd times the charm! I've signed up yet again to rappel 230 feet down from the roof of the Hyatt Regency in downtown San Francisco to help send kids on Outward Bound programs. But I need your help to make it happen again.

As you might know, I serve on the board of Outward Bound, an organization that I truly believe in and am committed to bringing to more students. My goal is to raise (hopefully exceed) $5,000 -- enough to send two deserving youth on a 10-day expedition this summer or to send two entire classroom of twenty low-income youth on a rock climbing day.

If you're so inclined, please make a gift (any amount is appreciated) on my fundraising page at Send Helen Over the Edge. And/or please send along to your family and friends too!

More about Outward Bound

Outward Bound's mission is to change lives through challenge and discovery and they accomplish this by taking young people on expeditions in both wilderness and urban settings. Outward Bound California gives students the chance to push their limits on these expeditions and they come home with a sense of confidence, grit and determination that stays with them for the rest of their lives. Because Outward Bound California believes that income level should not dictate access to outdoor leadership and educational opportunities, they reach out to underserved and low-income students, proving two in three of their students a full or partial scholarship to participate.

Please support this important organization by donating here: Send Helen Over the Edge (and don't forget the Google match!)

All my best,

Helen
