
E-PITCH
'E-Pitch' is the flagship event at ENGINEER 2011 held in partnership with IIM B and NSRCEL. An idea conceived by the students of E-FOREA,E-CELL NITK (www.eforea.org), E-PITCH provides the perfect platform for students to put forth their business ideas. The last edition of E-Pitch saw over 125 entries with the winners being offered incubation at NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore.
It provides a perfect head-start for student entrepreneurs and is open to all college students. The cornerstone feature of the competition is the mentorship support offered by NSRCEL, IIM Bangalore. The finalists also bag a direct entry to Next Big Idea (www.nextbigidea.in), one of the country’s largest B-Plan contests organized by IIM B leading onto the UC Berkeley Global Entrepreneurship Challenge.
E-Pitch consists of two rounds:-
1.
Submission of Executive Summary
An
executive summary is a brief business plan which should include a brief
description of the idea and the technology backing it. It should be a maximum
of 500 words in PDF Format,
to be submitted at e-p...@engineer.org.in by 20th September, 2011. The emphasis is on the merit and uniqueness of
the idea AND NOT ON financial intricacies.
2. Presentation of Business Plan
Ten
teams will be shortlisted on the basis of their executive summary, and they will
also be allotted mentors from IIMB, NEN and NSEF. The teams will be notified
well in advance and will be expected to make a complete business plan. They
will also have to present the same, in front of the judging panel during
Engineer on October 27th 2011.
· Students from any stream can participate and need to have a valid ID card of their institute.
· A team can have a maximum of 4 members.(Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged)
· The proposed business plan must be the original work of those making the submission.
· An individual can be part of only one team.
· Only one submission per team is allowed.
· All decisions of the Organizing Committee are binding and final.
