Payment of Hostel Fees: Important

The procedure for the Hostel Fee Payment has taken a turn for the good. The following steps hold good from Monday, the 18th of July 2011. So, here's a step by step procedure to get your room. 

1. Go to the block where your official hostel room is.

2. Get the challan based on your choice of bank from that hostel block. ( The challans have already been written in and all you need to do is collect them. )

3. Go pay the fee at the bank.  

4. Collect the Students' Copy of the Challan and return to the hostel block. 

5. Show the slip to the Warden/ person appointed there and receive your keys to the room.

6. Check whether you have a chair, a table and a bed and only then sign the acknowledgment slip.

7. You're done. No more messy 7th block line, no more waiting for 3 hours.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Prof. Yaaragatti, the Wardens as well as the Hostel Office Staff for taking the trouble to change the system. I hope that this system is convenient to the students and helps in sorting out some grievances at the beginning of the year.

And could you please confirm whether hostel office will be open on saturday/sunday and the timings if they are.
