What if you could hear the effects of climate change? Join the Tisch College of Civic Live at Tufts University at noon on Wednesday, April 6, for a virtual musical presentation and conversation with The ClimateMusic Project, a collaboration of renowned scientists and world-class musicians who create musical and visual experiences guided by scientific data on climate change.

Composing music in a variety of genres to build understanding about the climate crisis among diverse communities and motivate meaningful action, The ClimateMusic Project is connected to a network of climate groups to provide audiences with a direct pathway to action.

Hear from lead science advisor Dr. William Collins, composer Wendy Loomis and poet Royal Kent about their critical work to communicate a sense of urgency about the climate crisis in a unique way, and experience their original composition, “What If We Change How We Look at (and Hear) the Climate Crisis?,” which tells the story of sea level rise – a direct effect of global warming – and its impact on land and human populations.  A call to action by San Francisco-based community organizer, hip hop artist and activist, Khafre Jay, will also be featured.

Founded in 2015 by Tufts alumnus Stephan Crawford, The ClimateMusic Project has performed for audiences around the world.
