to Go Green Medford
On Saturday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the second Artepreuners display and sale will take place in the second-floor café area at the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library.
Artepreuners is a weekly program where youth at the Medford Housing Authority repurposed and recycled community sourced items that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill. Youth have created “saleable” art from waste materials and learned about entrepreneurship and financial literacy while harnessing their artistic and creative abilities.
Among the items for sale on Saturday will be watercolor greeting cards; faux stoneware vases; stunning dry flower arrangements; and more, all of which would make lovely, economical, and meaningful gifts for Mother’s Day or any occasion. Stop by to support Medford youth and a cause to conserve and create.
The Artepreuners program is funded by proceeds from the “Made in Medford” calendar project with support of Medford residents, as well as the Neighborhood Kitchen, Colleen’s of Medford Square, and Wegmans.
