July 13 & 26: Mystic River water chestnut removal events

Want to canoe for a cause? Help the Mystic River Watershed Association remove the invasive water chestnut plant from the Mystic River in Medford. Hand-pulling events will be held on Saturday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to noon, and on Friday, July 26 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Volunteers will meet by the river across the street from Whole Foods (100 Auburn St,) and head out to pull up water chestnut. MyRWA will provide the canoes, paddles, life jackets, and gloves, as well as instructions.
