Closing its spring season the day before World Environment Day, the Kalliope Reed Quintet will perform a benefit concert for the Mystic River Watershed Association in Medford at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 4. Performed in the recently opened Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library building run on 100% renewable energy (the first library of its kind in the state), Kalliope will perform a program of climate-related works by Jenni Brandon and Eliane Aberdam, plus Gershwin's "American in Paris," and more!

Members of Kalliope, New England's first professional reed quintet, are Natalie Zemba, bassoon; Anna Bradford, oboe; Céline Ferro, clarinet; Bennett Parsons, saxophone; and Jon Russell, bass clarinet, who joined the ensemble this month, replacing founding member Wolcott Humphrey.

Admission is free; all donations will go to Mystic River Watershed Association. Made possible with support from the Medford Arts Council.
