Aerial photos of library solar panels installed

Super excited to share three aerial photos of the 700 solar panel array that has been installed atop the new Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library!

Thank you again to all who have donated to the Green Campaign in support of what is going to be the first net-zero library in Massachusetts. To date, 277 of the solar panels have been underwritten at $500 each, contributing $138,500 of the $6 million in private funds that has raised for the library.

Donations may still be made through the Medford PublicLibrary Foundation website.

The library is scheduled to open on Monday, January 3, at 9 a.m. A ribbon cutting and public open house are scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 15.
