Dear Friends & Neighbors,

Safe Medford again challenges those who can do so to share some or all of our American Rescue Plan Act payments with those in more dire situations. We are concentrating on two outstanding groups that serve residents of Medford and Somerville: The Welcome Project and MAMAS (Mutual Aid Medford and Somerville).

The Welcome Project helps immigrants in Cambridge, Somerville, Medford, Everett, and Malden through their Immigrant Assistance Fund. Since last April, they have provided 700 households with groceries and assisted with utility and rental payments. Safe Medford hopes to raise $6000 to support their work!

MAMAS is an all-volunteer group that raises and redistributes financial resources in addition to providing other neighbor-to-neighbor services. See their “Principles for Giving” for insight into their guiding philosophy. Safe Medford has set a fundraising goal of $6000 in support of this organization!
