Appended are the Minutes of the 11th meeting of Kottayam Ladies Circle no.48,  held on the 5th of June, 2014, at Cr. Neelima Pillai's residence, hosted by Cr. Uma Abraham. It was followed by a surprise baby shower for Cr. Neelima.

Incoming -Correspondence was received from NEx regarding the following: (1) Details of the COB 2013-14. (2)Reminder on APS-RJSS – Last chance. (3)Minutes & Q3 sheet status updates & trackers. (4)Plans for Q4 including Twinklers Idol competition. (5)Q3 recognition email, including Star Secretary awarded to Cr. Ashika. (6)3G Times of April, May. (7)Tabler’s Peacock mass tour plans . (8)Launch of FTE Assist (non-construction related projects). (9)Standardised AGM report : info on notices & content & preparation. (10) Clarification of doubts regarding KLC48’s proposed AGM report. (11)Then & Now, FTE Impact Photography contest. Outgoing - The Quarterly sheet (Q3) was sent duly. Notice of the 11th meeting of the year was also sent to National Sec., Cr. Prachi. Notice of the Area AGM also sent. Clarifications regarding the AGM report preparation was discussed with Cr. Prachi.

AEX:

Incoming - Correspondence from AEx included reminders on - (1) National AGM planning, the preparation of the report and other relevant info. (2) COB dates and wishes for circle AGMs. Acknowledgement was received on Q3 report, AGM notice, as well as notice of the 11th meeting of the year sent to the area group. Outgoing - Incoming Area One ACP, Cr. Lisha, requested photos of KLC48 for a report for COB which were sent. Doubts related to the AGM report were also clarified with the Area One ACP, Cr. Shwetha.

OTHER:

Incoming - Birthday & Anniversary wishes, Charter day wishes, notices, minutes of meeting were shared on the national and area groups. Acknowledgement of notice of our 11th meeting, as well as that of the Q3 report was received from most circles. Outgoing - Notice of the 11th meeting of the year, was sent a week ahead of the meeting. Notice of the 22nd AGM was also sent to area and national groups.

Event Name: Social of Tr. Gibin Event Date  :   12-04-2014 Name of participants  :   Tablers of KRT79, Circlers of KLC48 Notes  :   Tablers and Circlers gathered together for a fun night of karaoke. Singers of the group like Cr. Amritha and Malini lead the way - and what's a Karaoke night without some croaking from the non-singers as well! The Twinklers had the mic for most of the evening. Was held at Hotel Aida.

Event Name: Family Outstation trip to Langkawi & KL (Malaysia) Event Date  :   29-05-2014 Name of participants  :   Tablers of KRT79, Circlers of KLC48 Notes  :   A family get away for the summer was planned for the circlers of KLC48 with the tablers of KRT79 and twinklers. The holiday was complete with sightseeing, visits to the aquarium, some shopping and lots of eating out and fellowship - all kinds of fun to suit all the holidayers.

Event Name: Election-themed Social (Tr. Ajay, and Cr. Shweta) Event Date  :   10-05-2014 Name of participants  :   Tablers of KRT79, Circlers of KLC48 Notes  :   Election night' was celebrated by KRT79 and KLC48 with all the big-wigs in politics, from MGR to Rakhi Sawant, Priyanka & Robert to Oommen Chandy - well, with their look alikes at least. The social was a fancy dress event, complete with election symbols & campaign posters all over the venue. Cr. Liz and Tr. Yacoob won the Best Dressed prizes. Prospective Circler, Ann Vimal, was also present.

Event Name: Movie Night - X Men Event Date  :   02-06-2014 Name of participants  :   Trs. Nithin, Harsha, Vineeth and Ajay; Crs. Reeba, Ashika, Amritha Notes  :   Table-Circle fellowship for the month included a movie night for the movie X men.

Event Name: Surprise Baby Shower for Cr. Neelima Event Date  :   05-06-2014 Name of participants  :   Circlers of KLC48 Notes  :   The circlers put together a surprise baby shower for Cr. Neelima, hosted by Cr. Uma. It was a potluck high tea event, with games and fun and merriment, KLC48 style! The highlight was the organisation of games by Cr. Uma, keeping the circlers in fits of laughter.

Project Name  :   Donation of Stationery to Aswasa Bhavan Date  :   30-05-2014 Cost  :   54400.00 Circlers Attended  :   Crs. Rittu, Neelima, Reeba Project Details Stationery worth Rs. 54400 was donated to Aswasa Bhavan, home for destitute boys and girls ahead of the start of the new academic year.

Project Name  :   Computer Tables & Book Shelf donated to DVVHSS, Kumaranalloor Date  :   02-06-2014 Cost  :   22600.00 Circlers Attended  :   Cr. Rittu, Rebecca Project Details Donation made to a Trust called the The Tiny Seed, towards the purchase of 8 Computer Tables and 1 Book Shelf for Devi Vilasom Vocational Higher Secondary School, Kumaranalloor

Project Name  :   Sponsoring of Mid Day Meals at Abhaya Special School Date  :   25-04-2014 Cost  :   5600.00 Circlers Attended  :   Crs. Liz, Neelima, Rittu Project Details For the quarter, the circlers of KLC48 sponsored the groceries required for a mid day meal at Abhaya Special School, a trust that serves as a day care for mentally challenged youth.

Discussions / plans Prospective Circler Ann Paul, wife of Tr. Vimal Vazhthara, was present for her first meeting. She previously attended the social of Tr. Ajay & Cr. Shweta.

PUBLICITY:

Event-Name : Your Vote is Important

Event Detail  :   KLC48 initiated an awareness campaign on the importance of Voting among ladies and the youth in Kerala. The circle ran an ad in Kerala's leading daily, Malayala Manorama on the day before voting day.

Event-Name : Paint-the-cap event

Event Date  :   10-05-2014 Name of the Participants  :   Tws. Gabriella, Daniella, Anika, Samir, Shikha and Reuben Notes  :   Paint-the-cap event was organised for the kids durin the Election Themed social of Tr. Ajay & Cr. Shweta. Aam Aadmi Party caps were made and coloured/decorated by the kids according to their liking.

She also mentioned that money was set aside in the Utsav/Fundraiser account in preparation for Utsav 2014 for the upcoming year.

SECRETARY'S REPORT:

Secretarys Report  :   Cr. Ashika discussed relevant correspondence with the circle, including information related to the upcoming AGM and the Annual report preparation. She announced that the last meeting of the year will be held on June 21st, and congratulated the circle on a productive and fulfilling year.

CHAIRPERSON'S REPORT:

Chairperson Time  :   Cr. Rittu took the circle through a round up of the quarter thus far, giving updates related to the following : (1) Projects completed & proposed (2) The annual lunch party thrown by the Circle for the Tablers of KRT79 to be held on the 6th of July, 2014. (3) The 22nd AGM to be held 10th July, jointly with KRTLC86 at Hotel Aida. (4) Welcoming of Prospective Cr. Ann and guest, Priya Tinku. (5) Announcement of 2 retiree circlers at the circle AGM - Crs. Nisha and Mariam.
