Tropical Storm Noel

We've gotten a few e-mails asking how we weathered Noel. It has been
raining constantly since Friday, but we are fine. Kate was out of
school the first two days of this week, the Department of Education
for the country shut down all the schools, because many of them are
used as shelters. Those living in low lying areas and in river
valleys have been affected most, unfortunately, this is a normal event
for them. Many of the poorest live in flood plains. There are homes
in villages that have three foot walls built up in their doorways to
keep the water out of their homes. We appreciate your prayers and
concerns and just wanted you all to know that our work has continued
despite the rain. I am looking forward to seeing the sun again one
day soon, but I may still be waiting a few days.
