Monitoring Unicorn Workers with God

There seems to be no easy to way monitor unicorn workers with god. Github has a hack, where they use a separate thread to monitor the workers, but the post is two and a half years old (https://github.com/blog/519-unicorn-god).

Have things changed since?

This is an old thread but I found it just before I found this page:

I haven't tried it yet, but I thought I'd post it as a more recent alternative that seems to do everything we need it to do.
