I love Christmas Day Mass. Mike and I got to be greeters with Jeri and Bill Dennis. The joy of seeing so many of our fellow parishioners at mass is so rewarding.
As each person serving came in one after another, some promptly and others just in time, it reminded me of how we are all called to serve. Everyone in this group is serving our Lord in one capacity or another. We often feel as though we are not making a difference or we are not needed. I want to assure you all that you are!
Since we started this ministry we have given the parish office a much needed place to send requests for help and opportunities to fill needs. Not all the options we listed on the pew cards are needed now, but may be in the future. Not all the requests we have gotten fit in the box we created. There is no way to know how God needs us to help. But that is why we are standing by. That is why we serve. That is why we care.
We are His Lights here on earth That is why we come to serve one candle at a time.
What ever you have done for the lease of these, you have done for Me.
Christ has no hands and feet but ours....
Let us continue to be ready and willing to do what is needed even if no one asks.
We are so loved by God that he gave us His only Son that We may be saved.
You are a blessing.
Merry Christmas
Caroline
