Humility is different from inferiority complex.

A saatvic (calm) person is not a weak or lazy person. A saatvic person, despite being powerful, will not react to another’s harsh or abusive words. A saatvic person has the capability to punish anyone by way of his penance; yet, he will not do so. On the other hand, when a person is incapable of doing anything at all and is lethargic or if he does not act because he is afraid, then he is lazy and weak.

Different Blessing

Once a devotee had a strong desire in an unrighteous matter. Knowing very well it is wrong he prayed to Bhagavan to attain it somehow. But, though he prayed very hard, it did not get fulfilled.  He was very angry with Bhagavan, he even chastised Bhagavan!  As days rolled by, the intensity of the desire for the wrong thing diminished and presently his mind was steady and calm.

Presently he looked up to Bhagavan and spoke thus:
'Many Thanks dear God for not fulfilling my wrong desire. Having not got my prayer fulfilled, I got something else now! You know what that is? It is that which one can't get anywhere, that which none can give! Deep inner peace, it is!'

Vows and Prayers

In general, we pray to God for something and promise to do something in return. We end up fulfilling our promise only if our prayers are fulfilled and at our own convenience!

 On the contrary, in Ramayana, we see that Lord Rama first showered Sugriva with whatever he required and then patiently waited in anticipation for Sugriva's assistance in His work.

The 'Shastras' (scriptures) are like set curd (yogurt). If curd is partaken directly, it goes heavy on the stomach making one even a bit slothful! But when churned with a churning rod by a deft churner, it gives light and fresh butter- its true essence. Likewise when the Shastras are churned with intelligence ('arivu') of the deft churner (the Mahaans), by their constant churning (intense probing contemplation) we get the true essence - the butter of 'Hari Nama'. This can be nourishingly relished by one and all.
