At GitHub Education we work closely with higher education institutions, support them with tools/resources, meetups, workshops and events to educate the student developer communities on campuses. With the vision to empower the young developer talent, we launched GitHub Externship ,a remote 90 days internship program for students. 

In our last two cohorts, we received 15,000+ students applications from 250+ institutions, offering internships to 150+ students across 39 partner organizations such as CRED, Appwrite, Fampay, Deepsource, GitHub and more. This summer, we are scaling this program inviting more organizations to hire quality tech talent from the program. 

 

Joining as Partner Organization for GitHub Externship enables you to:

• Hire the top 1%: Our program is designed to enable organizations, hire students who are active contributors to various Open Source projects.

• Pool of Skilled Talent: Institutions participating in the program, get access to tools/resources/training from GitHub to enable student learning curve in building projects, contributing to Open Source.

• Interconnected Community: Connect with the broader student developer community from 300+ partner universities across India.
