Announcements:
· Memorial Day Meeting: 10am
· Write-ups due Saturday 6/14/14 at 11:59pm
· Welcome Week Event Preferences
Spring Retreat:
· Schedule:
· Thursday
o Inventory For Loading . We want to load at 9pm or 10pm: Load Jeremy and Carissa’s Car.
§ Smart & Finals: need regular hershey’s and Graham Crackers. Carissa’s car will go!
§ Load personal items into Brandon’s car.
§ Everyone have things packed – toiletry by Thursday Night. If you are not in A-Team Cars: you are exempt from bringing your stuff!
o Brief during Thursday Night.
· Friday:
o Leaving at discussed times: 10:00, 11:30, 2:00.
o Carissa’s car will shop at S&F and meet with Jeremy’s car at Chick Fil-A.
o Arrive at 4pm.
o 5pm: Registration
o 7pm: Bon Fire
o 9pm: David’s debute
o 9pm: SAD team game
o 10:15: Discussion
o Brief briefing on Friday during lunch.
· Saturday:
o Meeting at 7am, unless you are on clean-up the night before.
o Planners + david chiu will prep the game during breakfast.
o Game: 1 Hour
o A Team Lunch.
o Game: No break time between session and game because it takes a while for people to change.
o SAD Team Game

· Sunday:
o A Team Brief in the morning at 7am
o SAD team game.
o Session
o GOC Song
o GOC picture
o Contact Media Team or David Chow to take GOC picture
o Lunch
o Packing and Cleaning up

Rides Back: Let rides Team know that we are planning to have all A Teamers ride back together.
o BOBA at Half & Half! Bring lactate pills.
· A Team Duties:
o Clam, Lindsey, Kim: Take minutes of everything according to general schedule.
o Check the heaters in all the cabins and ask them in the beginning!
o When session starts, we will cut off registration, so everyone can attend session.
§ Ask rides team to email late cars and tell them to head to session and unload afterwards.
§ Put two other guys on direct cars to parking! Have clear instructions.
§ Assign people to registration after session: have it announced, so people know who to go to!
§ Registration afterwards: think about people flow. Don’t have the line block the food.
§ Assign someone to extinguish fire! Confirm if there are extinguishing tools!
§ Fire needs to be out before session starts.
§ Lost and Found: ice cream parlor.
§ Music team is having practice at 8am.
§ Tell ethan that He has until 8am to practice, after then they have to find a different place.
§ Make ppt for game rule explanation!
· Rides are still very short! They still might be short if everyone drives! Ask the Staffers to take people.
· Make a pleading request on Gracevine. Post again! 80 spots short!
· Channing + Albert check with parents and let Rides Team know. Very last resort.
o Finance: offering reimbursements? Tell riders to split the cost of gas.
· Finalize rooms for class time! Scope out on Friday.
· Get keys from Keith.
· Jeremy will lock the barn every evening.
· Please send Jeremy a list of announcements every session! Update if anything comes up during announcements.
· Quick power point of game plus the map
· Bring extra trashbags to put rocks into trashbags.
Welcome Week:
· Fall Retreat: Purpose
o Catch-up, so that we can focus on Freshmen class during welcome week
o Prepare us spiritually and mentally
o Looking forward to the rest of the school year and plan the rest of the year!
o Kick off welcome week.
· Tour of Westwood: (target everyone)
o One of the biggest outreach event.
o Free Food/Introduce Freshmen to Westwood
o Talk to people on the tour
o Targets Freshmen and Nonbelievers!
o It gets harder every year to find restaurants: some restaurants were upset because it’s a loss of money. Don’t have to make it quite as food-focused.
o Ask to pay for some of it.
o Go with Cooperate restaurants – they have more resources, but we have to ask early. Ask every restaurant!
o Implement a discount card with the restaurants to set up a relationship with them. Limit card to GOC.
· Wednesday Event:
o GOC-olympics: Team Games
o Benders: Team Games
o Worship night: Family-Feel Events. Maybe Saturday is a better time.
o What group are we not targeting? Can we do Paintball or sky high or the beach? Go out to LA and do something. Lacma, Santa Monica, Kayaking. Close enough for double back! Getty! Hiking to Hollywood Sign! And, Korean BBQ afterwards! Sandwiches + Hike + Gospel Presentation!
§ Going somewhere is attractive, but logistically difficult.
· Thursday: GOCers invite people to dinner. Free of events.
· Ice Cream Social: (target believers)
o Targets believers, because we advertise bible study and ice cream. But it also attracts non-believers because there is free ice cream.
