Hi Håvard -

It might be possible to remote control Go Button using the built-in Music app on Apple Watch.  It shouldn't matter whether you are running Go Button on iPhone or iPod touch -- Go Button runs the same on both devices.

We haven't tested this ourselves yet, but try opening a show in Go Button and then opening the Music app on the watch. If it works in the way that we have heard, then Go Button should respond to the remote control commands sent by the watch. You can customize these in the "Configure Remote Control" screen in the Go Button sidebar.

I think the important part is making sure that a show is open in Go Button first before you open your watch Music app.

Let us know if it works for you.

Thank you. I have tried that, but it switch back to the "iTunes playlist".

Do you know if it will be released a "go Button app for iWatch"? If yes, do you know a date?

Hello Håvard --

I've been using the wrong term this whole time and steering you in the wrong direction. I have mistakenly been saying to use the Music app, but it is actually the glance you can use to control Go Button. I just confirmed this works with my teammate and her Apple Watch. I'm sorry about the confusion!

The official name is the "Now Playing" glance which acts as a controller for the front-most music app on your iOS device. Swipe up on your watch screen, and then swipe sideways until you see this glance. (If you don't see it, you can add it using the Watch app on your phone under the Glances settings.)

The arrow buttons on this glance send the remote control commands "Previous Track" and "Next Track" to Go Button, and the center "play/pause" button will alternate between sending "Play" and "Pause" commands. You can configure the actions Go Button will perform for these commands in the "Configure Remote Control" screen. (The default action assigned to "Pause" is "Pause/Resume Show", so you will most likely want to change that to trigger the "GO" action instead.)

In addition, at the bottom of the "Configure Remote Control" screen, you can enable the "Send Now Playing Info" option. This sends information to the Now Playing glance that lets it display the GO button text as well as the title of the currently-selected cue:

We don't have a timeline yet for when we might add a dedicated watchOS app for Go Button, but it's definitely on our list of things to consider for future update!

I was reading this thread to see if I could get some insight on using my Pebble bluetooth watch as a remote control for Go Button. My Pebble works with the Music app on my iPad, but I can't get the watch to control Go Button. Any tips would be very appreciated!

Hi Bekah -

The original Pebble watch models should work without any special configuration in Go Button.

To use a newer Pebble watch with Go Button (including "Pebble Time" models), you might also need to enable the "Send Now Playing Info" option in Go Button 3. This setting can be found on the Sidebar > "Configure Remote Control" screen all the way at the bottom.

Then, open the built-in "Music" app on your Pebble. This app sends remote control commands from your watch to your iOS device. When Go Button is the front-most music app running on your device, each watch button will trigger the action that your copy of Go Button has associated with its remote control command.

To discover the exact remote commands your Pebble sends to Go Button, you can use the "Configure Remote Control" tool found in the Go Button sidebar. Press each of the 3 right-hand buttons on your Pebble, and you should see a corresponding command glow yellow in Go Button:

Top Button -> "Previous Track"
Middle Button -> "Pause"
Bottom Button -> "Next Track"

In Go Button's default configuration, none of those 3 commands are assigned to trigger a "GO". Since you probably want at least one of your watch buttons to do this, we suggest the following assignments:

* Previous Track -> "Panic/Stop Show"
* Pause -> "GO"
* Next Track -> "Select Next Cue"
