Every time any audio setting changes on my iPad, the tracks in the show won't play anymore.
For example, I have the show running fine, tested and everything ok. If I unplug the minijack, the audios don't play anymore. If I click the "GO" nothing happens.
I have to restart the app.
I found it occures plugging/unplugging the minijack or if I open another app that uses the iPad audio.

Hi there --

Go Button should recover from an audio route change, such as unplugging headphones. Could you send us a "Contact Support" message from the sidebar of Go Button when you get a moment? That way we can see more details about your iOS and app versions and device.

I would also be curious to know if closing the show and reopening it works to restore audio playback? I know that is not always practical in a show situation, but it will help us understand what is going on. Also it might be quicker than force-quitting & restarting the app.

As for opening another app that uses audio, it is best practice to not switch to any other apps while a Go Button show is open in Show mode. Many apps play audio, even if it is not obvious, such as Photos or Messages even. iOS treats audio apps as "last in wins". So if you switch to another app that claims the audio output, Go Button cannot do anything to prevent that. Go Button is designed to mix its audio output with other audio apps but we cannot control what the other app will allow. If that app doesn't want Go Button to mix its audio, Go Button cannot prevent that either.

We just released Go Button 3.3.9, which now should be much more forgiving when the audio route changes. This is a free update, available on the App Store today.

v3.3.9 includes a new app preference "Resume after interruption", found in the Sidebar > Preferences > Audio. This preference is enabled by default, and we recommend Mose users leave it on.

When enabled, Go Button will try to maintain playback after the audio route changes or disconnects. In some cases, you may not notice if the interruption is really quick (due to a loose cable or some other hardware issue). In other cases, playback will revert to the device speaker. But overall, your show should remain playable and no longer require exiting or restarting the app.

I’m new at using Go-button.
Silly question-  Is this a place where you can store your music and be able to choose it by clicking on the names of the songs?
I understand there is a remote control? Is it difficult to synch?

Hi -

Yes, we recommend importing audio files into Go Button for the best performance. This also assures your files are always available. Importing copies your audio into the On My iPhone/iPad > Go Button folder seen in the Files app on your device. Then you can select files from the "Documents" tab of the media picker in the app when you create your cues. This page in our documentation explains in more detail: https://gobutton.app/docs/v3/getting-started/importing-audio-files/

Many kinds of remote controls are supported. Go Button can be configured to respond to any remote that sends keystrokes, MIDI commands, or remote control commands (like "Toggle Play/Pause"). There isn't any kind of "sync" in Go Button. Everything is local on your device. Network access is not required (and should be turned off during your shows to avoid interruptions). Please feel free to write us at sup...@figure53.com if you have more questions!
