to Go Button
hello! i'm new to go button but i'm having trouble figuring out an easy use case. i asked other go button users i know, searched online extensively and still can't find an answer. i don't even know if what i'm trying to do is possible with go button, and then if it is, how that works...

i want to play one song and with a single button press have that song fade out. and once its faded out then the next song in the list starts playing.

right now when i press the button the first song starts to fade out but the second song starts immediately so i have a brief moment when both songs are playing at the same time.

i can figure out how to fade the first song with a button press and then have a second button press to start the second song. but i can't seem to eliminate the second button press without having the tracks play at the same time.

i'd like the fade on the first song to be around 2 or 3 seconds long and i figured out how to change that timing.

thanks for any help you are able to give!

to gobu...@googlegroups.com, Go Button

So fade one song to autofollow into the next song - without both songs playing at once - I would like the answer to that as well - as it drives me nuts right now….

yeah- i mean there's a couple of ways to do it but both are highly annoying, the first is to set a fade in on the next track that should play by using the go button controls to edit a fade in on that track. but then you lose the beginning of that next song. the other way is to drop your tracks into some DAW and add however many seconds of silence to the start of each track that equals the amount of fade out time on the previous track. which isn't practical for editing a new setlist on the run since you'd have to always do that surgery on each new track you want to add...

You don’t have to but it into a Daw there’s also pre-wait time setting.
If you want if want to do a fadin over lapping  you’re best to set up a template. Then every track you import will do the same thing.
The wiki is very comprehensive

yes! thank you- the pre-wait time is what i was missing. i set the pre-wait time to the same time as my fade out and i'm good to go. that way the fade out starts, right now its at 2 seconds, and the follow on next cue starts at the same time except now i have a 2 second delay on that trigger. appreciate your help!
