Is anybody working on a Rust port of gobot?

Hi,

I'm very interested in Gobot, having built several robots in the past. I think that you've done great work here and I wish I had had this 20 years ago when I built my first Linux robot!

However, these days I would rather program these robots in Rust rather than Go. There are a lot of similarities between the two languages, but one of the major design considerations for rust was making pointers and threads safe. But I haven't found any full robotic frameworks in rust, just bits and pieces and libraries that might eventually grow up to be a framework. :)

Would it be possible for me to create a "sister project" similar to Artoo (Ruby) and Cylon.js (JavaScript)? I have the skills, I just need to know who I need to ask to be able to get this done.
