Potentially, the Goat Tracking equivalent of Watergate. Scandal,
intrigue, potential abuse of power, and general puzzlement. How
exactly did it come to pass that Wink, a respected golfer and
occasional Goat Tracker, had his Tracking privileges revoked by Sherpa
Jeff?

At this point there are a lot more questions than answers, but we sure
as hell hope to get to the bottom of this troubling matter soon. This
type of issue is heretofore unknown in Tracking circles. We're more
accustomed to being kicked off courses, not enforcing sanctions within
the group.

Comments, pre-hearing statements, and random opinions are both
accepted and appreciated.

I plan to defend Wink on the principles of decorum and fair play. Sure
Wink lacks basic social and business refinement but that’s part of his
charm. Wink is an experienced tracker that hails from the Great State
of NY. He features a positive attitude, a nasty slice and a
willingness to travel. These basic traits should endear him to the
group. If business blunders can detract from ones status at Copper
Hill who is next to be banned? The tee box will be a lonely place if
business acumen is required. What’s next? Will Jeff check our home
life and decide if our sex lives are too extreme and ban us for that
behavior??

Maybe I should have that last sentence stricken from the record as to
not self incriminate.

As much it's a relief to finally see this unnecessary bit of Goat
Tracking tension draw near a close; based on the recent email trail
(shared between the involved parties...and even some who weren't) we
may never be able to fully understand how "Towelgate" came to pass.
We're just hoping to put it to bed, with no one's Tracking reputation
unncessarily besmirched as a result.

Thank you, Sherpa JB! Finally, someone has taken the goat by the
horns and set a date (12/11/08) to fairly adjudicate this matter and
put this dark chapter behind us. The composition of the Goat Tracker
Arbitration Panel that will hear arguments from both parties is still
in a state of flux, but it will bring to bear some of the best Goat
Tracking minds (hopefully not too much of an oxymoron) ever assembled
at happy hour.
