This may be a silly question, but I am attempting to use stambecco in
my application. So far it is working nicely. I've also integrated
Comet code on the front-end using CometActor, ListenerManager, etc.
My question is, that the LiftActors and Stambecco can co-exist in the
same application with no problem, correct?

Cool!

Yes, although Stambecco doesn't support a listener mechanism yet (it's on my to-do list).  Ultimately, I'm planning to create a mechanism like Ask/Answer that gives you listeners in Stambecco so that Stambecco can push changes out.

But, you can mix Stambecco workers and LiftActors in a single app.

Jay, any chance you could describe your application?

Totally understandable if it's not possible.

Not at all. I'm just messing around nothing serious, but it is a
social messaging framework (Twitter like) that will have the ability
to connect with other social networking websites(Twitter and Facebook)
and send messages, geolocate messages, create an rest api, etc . The
reason I asked the question about the LiftActors is because when I
send updates, using Lift's comet framework I had trouble getting
updates from the ListenerManager. The CometListener registers fine,
but when a messages is sent and a friend/follower needs to receive an
update it never gets to the listener. Anyways, I'm using this
application to learn about Lift/Stambecco/Scala. I think that the
Lift is cool and Stambecco ask/answer paradigm is perfect for what I'm
trying to do. It is scalable and very easy to understand.

Sounds pretty interesting and would make an excellent example of
stambecco.

Consider putting it up on github when you're happy with it, I'd love
to take a look.

Cheers
