To get distributed actor-based apps to be as close to an out-of-the-box production-quality experience as possible.
I suspect that this is a highly viable way to scale stateful applications in clusters. Indeed, I presume we all do - that's why we are here ;).
I want Goat Rodeo to become the project that convinces the larger community so.
Afaic, the path to the goal lies in keeping the learning curve shallow, the experience smooth, and the support impressive from "Hello, Goat World!" through monitoring and performance-tuning the deployment.
To that end, I'm only planning to add distributed message propagation and monadic futures to the core, and spend most of the time through 1.0 on documentation, tutorials and production tooling.
Any ideas as far as features going forward, and/or any help is awesomely welcome.
Kind Regards,
- alexz
