He acted in Mahesh Babu's 'Sainikudu', directed by Gunasekhar. Apart from many Bollywood classics, he was also part of few Hollywood films like 'Jurassic World' and 'Life of Pi'. Irrfan Khan's last movie was 'Angrezi Medium', which was released a few days before the lock-down. He is known for his wonderful performances in movies like 'Lunch Box' 'Slumdog Millionaire' etc.
Irfan Khan turned down an offer to be a part of Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar' as he wanted to be a part of Indian movies and couldn't accommodate dates. He has also refused to be a part of a movie, directed by Steven Spielberg, citing the role offered to him didn't have much scope to perform.

The well-received Angrezi Medium was his last release and saw him share screen space with Kareena Kapoor Khan. The film opened to a decent response at the box office but its run was cut short by the COVID-19 outbreak. It was released on Hotstar recently and received good reviews from a section of the audience.
