This is also happening to me. I'm on my home wifi with no restrictions.
If i'm not mistaken, I might have authorized the Clock app already, cloud it be a bug where the app doesn't understand it's been authorized already?
This bug seems to be around since June 2022....

I'm using my personal computer - so no restrictions. When i first used Clock app, linking my spotify worked fine. Everything was working good until i had to reset my spotify password and then this started to happen.

As for clock app, I had thought it was an issue with it but i have gone through all the troubleshoot with microsoft and clock app support. Reset the app, uninstalled and reinstalled etc etc and because of this, they have said it is a spotify issue.

Hey there, I have gone through all the trouble shoot with clock app. Have reset all these setitngs, uninstalled & reinstalled. Same as spotify app. All these steps were done with online support with Microsoft, clock app & spotify - which has led me to here

If you have followed all of the steps above to repair/reset/reinstall the Clock app, and the Spotify integration is still broken, unfortunately, there's not much else (that I know of) that you can do.

Same issues here, I thought I was alone in experiencing the "Bug" It was working some time ago, but I wanted to use the app since its kinda helpful and a good Pomodoro app pre installed. Did all necessary Troubleshoot in my end. Will wait for Further updates for it

I use alt+tab a lot and spotify keeps irritating me. I want it to sit quietly in the system tray and play the music. This is easy in VLC, all you have to do is click the VLC icon in the system tray but this doesn't seem to work for spotify.

A few people are suffering with this issue as I was. The above answer is correct, however, in my situation and others, that option was already turned on. To fix the issue is as simple as turning the option off, close Spotify, reopen Spotify and re-enable the option. You should see the tray icon appear straight away. Hope this helps others

Since upgrading to Windows 11, the Spotify app will no longer load. I get the error about the missing Resampledmo.DLL file. The problem is, I have that DLL file, and I know it is working in Windows, because I had to solve this problem with another app on my PC after upgrading. However, Spotify does not seem to recognize it.

I completed a clean install of Spotify, including deleting all files and folders in AppData, restarted my PC, uninstalled and reinstalled using both the stand alone installer and the Microsoft Store version of the app, with no change in behavior.

hey, guys i had the same issue on windows 11! the same prblm the only thing that i changed b4 the issue is my dns (adguard public anti ads dns ...) , change it to default 1.1.1.1 the one used by router somehow seems to be fixing the problem

It would also be great if you could try both the standalone app from our website, as well as the one from the Microsoft Store and check if it comes up there as well. Also, does the web player function properly at your end?

And I do not have another PC to test this on, but it seems (from my limited Googling research) that the Resampledmo.dll file is a media resource provided in older versions of Windows that is no longer included with Windows 11. As I mentioned in the OP, I was able to fix this for other programs by getting a copy of that DLL and registering it with Windows, but for some reason, Spotify doesn't recognize it.

I understand that Windows 11 is new, and there will be support issues at first, that's why I came to the forums. I didn't see anyone post with a similar issue, and it's obvious that I'm not the only one seeing these problems, so the best thing I can do is to give you as much info as possible and troubleshoot it so others don't have this problem in the future.

Would you mind sending us a screenshot of the error message you're getting so we can take a closer look? Additionally, sending us a screen recording of the issue happening would come in handy. You can send a link to it or attach it using the Insert Video option in the post editor.

We've passed your feedback and troubleshooting on to the right teams at Spotify. We'd recommend turning to the support team from Microsoft for further assistance with this issue, as it is largely dependent on individual hardware configuration and media packs. This is not up to Spotify currently, so we can't say when this issue will be resolved.

I actually work for MSFT and have a similar issue as reported in the thread. The Spotify App will not play music on my headset; however, every other application works fine. I've tested VLC, Windows Media Player, Chrome / Edge, Outlook, Teams, etc. Every other app (including the Spotify Web Player) works completely fine on Windows 11.

Edit: Windows 11 Enterprise shouldn't have an impact on this either. While this is clearly a MSFT owned machine, I don't have any complicated proxy setups or net filtering. All traffic that's not destined for MSFT goes over the open net, not our VPN. There's no reason the app should struggle.

What you can try is check if the Spotify app from the MS Store or the standalone version from our site make a difference. In addition to what Redauser suggested, trying different versions of your audio drivers could help as well.

As Win 11 is still fairly young, there're some kinks to be worked out. We're sure that with future OS updates they will be resolved. On our end, we'll of course be optimizing the app for Windows 11 going forward and will be on the lookout for more reports on this.

When I try to load the local app by typing 'spotify:app:Tutorial' in the search field I get the following msg/error: "Sorry, I could find this app. metadatafailed URI: spotify:app:Tutorial Error: appNotFound."

Your first guess is correct (C:\Users\Me\Documents\Spotify\Tutorial). However you need to be running the latest preview release ( ). And on my PC I had to completely un-install and reinstall the application before the developer options became enabled.

I can't leave a comment, but I was having the same issues and had to do a combination of what Niklas and akakjs did. I had to completely uninstall the spotify app, download/install the preview version, create a Spotify directory in My Documents, then create the folder Tutorial. Then, in the Spotify search bar I had to type "spotify:app:tutorial" with the lowercase t. I hope this helps!

I am getting so frustrated with this BluOS, I have a NAD M10, literally the most expensive bit of audio hardware I've ever owned. And its been nothing but a nightmare with regards to the BluOs tech.

now the bluOs app is showing me the spotify icon, but nothing happens, and the spotify app itself never shows my player anymore..

Basically this turns my device into a brick..

If it is, it is likely a corrupt network allocation table entry on your router. Reboot your router, wait 5 minutes, reboot your NAD m10, wait 5 minutes then toggle Airplane mode on your phone leaving it in airplane mode for 30 seconds.

Hi

With both the latest Beta and now the official release I have an odd issue. I am using ASIO4all and everything works fine except that for some reasons Spotify and VLC willn not play any audio when using the kemper as my audio interface. Youtube works fine, I hear all my system sounds etc its just Spotify that seems broken.

Otherwise loving this new update. Keep up the great work.

I'm having the same issue. I can make it work if I start playing music with another device set as the output device and then change the profiler to the output device but then I only get audio in the left side. Even weirder, spotify web app works fine.

I created a Spotify account myself on my Windows PC just to confirm, that it immediately works with my PROFILER as Youtube does and any other Windows audio does. You just need to set up your PROFILER as your audio output device in Windows. This has nothing to do with ASIO drivers whatsoever. There is nothing we need to do on the KEMPER side. Perhaps you have exhausted the number of devices supported by your Spotify account.

I feel like it originally worked for me but I changed no settings last night and the spotify app did not work properly(sound only outputing on the left) but it worked fine in the browser. I have had issues since the update though so who knows.

It maybe that the ASIO4all driver is not the issue but for the life of me it will not play despite being set as my default device. The issue I get is what happens when ABleton is running for example (despite the fact I set it to not take exclusive control) and so spotify just tells me it cannot play the file at this time.

Not sure what else could be going, Chrome works fine, bitwig works fine, but spotify is having issues.

I will try on my surface pro and see if there is any difference.
