TWO JOURNALISTS TO BE FELICITATED ON NATIONAL PRESS DAY

Two Journalists Shri Avinash Vengurlekar from Traun Bharat and Shri
Chandrakant Volvoikar from Navprabha will be felicitate on the
occasion of National Press Day which will be observed by Department
of Information and Publicity incollaboration with Goa Editors Guild,
Goa Union of Journalist and Photo Journalists Association of Goa on
November 16, 2009 at 9.30 a.m. at Ravindra Bhavan,Margao, Goa.
Chief Minister, Shri Digambar V. Kamat will be the Chief Guest while
Secretary and Commissioner (Information and Publicity), Shri Narendra
Kumar, IAS will preside over the function.
President of Goa Union of Journalist, Shri Prakash Kamat will also
speak on the occasion.
Shri P. Sainath, Eminent Journalist and Magsaysay Award Winner will
deliver the Keynote address on the theme “Changing face of Media”.
Shri Rajan narayan, Shri Frederick Noronha, Shri Suresh Naik, Shri
Ashwin Tombat, Shri Rajib Bora, Shri Prakash Kamat, Shri Rupesh
Samant, Shri Pramod Acharya and Advocate Yatish Naik will participate
in the seminar. Shri Sandesh Prabhudessai will coordinate.
“Another Goa” a book by Shri Frederick Noronha will be released on the occasion.
The day is observed as the foundation day of Press Council of India.
Presss and Media Advisor to government Shri Vishnu Wagh will welcome
while Director of Information and Publicity, Shri Menino Peres will
proposed a vote thanks.
