Editing job in Goa wanted

Hello,

Are there any editing job vacancies at newspapers or magazines presently?

A girl I know is looking for a job.

She is 22 years old and from the state of Bengal, and will move to Goa shortly.

A graduate in English honours from The University of Calcutta she has a fresher's experience of journalism in Calcutta. 

She is currently looking to exercise her language skills through a job in editing. 

If there is a vacant or trainee post please do let me know.

I will pass on the information to her.

Hi Nomratha,

Your Bengali friend is too well qualified to work in a local
newspaper or magazine. Most staff in both, even at the upper levels,
hardly match her credentials.
She would be better off exercising her language skills for an
international publishing house with a franchise/subsidiary in India.
However,if she still insists on joining a newspaper it would help to
know that the rumour mills are abuzz that the Timblos,who publish the
weekly Goan, are launching a English-Marathi combo daily from April.
They have already started hunting for key prey from other newspapers
with lucrative offers. You could approach them to confirm if there
are any empty slots for your friend.
