Judges to announce GUJ Journalism Awards results on July 22

The Goa Union of Journalists (GUJ) is happy to inform its members and all participants that the judging process for the GUJ Journalism Awards (2021 & 2022) is now complete.

The GUJ Journalism Awards (2021 and 2022) competition, held across 13 categories, received a big response with a total of 186 entries.

The panel of judges for the GUJ Journalism Awards included Mr. Sandesh Prabhudesai (veteran journalist/editor goanews.com), Mr. Sandeep Naik (veteran photojournalist/ Gulf News, AFP, World Economic Forum) and Mr. Rajendra Dessai (veteran journalist/ former editor, Dainik Herald).

The final meeting of the jury panel was held on July 17 at the GUJ office hall in Panaji. The judges minutely discussed and deliberated entries across all 13 categories before deciding on the winner.

The GUJ JOURNALISM AWARDS (2021 & 2022) result declaration ceremony will be held on Saturday, July 22, at 11 am at the office of the Goa Union of Journalists, sixth floor, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji.

The event will begin with an interactive session between the participants and the jury panel, followed by the formal declaration of awards. All those who submitted their entries will be presented with a participation certificate.

Members are encouraged to take part in the interactive session and announcement.

Seriously? Is this the three-judge bench that has selected the Goa Journalism awardees this year? Who constituted this lopsided jury panel? It clearly fails to represent the whole spectrum of the print media in Goa.
