Veteran journalist Waman Prabhu to feature in GUJ’s ‘Behind The Byline’ series

The second GUJ member to be celebrated in the Goa Union of Journalists ‘Behind The Byline’, know your GUJ member series will be former vice president Indian Federation of Working Journalists IFWJ, founder GUJ member and author Waman Prabhu.

The veteran journalist has a long experience in the field of journalism, besides being a pioneer in electronic media in the state. To his credit, Prabhu started Goa’s first electronic media channel ‘Goa Newsline’.

Prabhu retired as the editor of Goa Doot, a Marathi news daily.

Prabhu will be in conversation with Kishor Naik Gaonkar, Editor, Gaonkari, at the GUJ office, Shram Shakti Bhavan, Patto, Panaji. The event will be held on Friday, July 12, at 4pm.

‘Behind The Byline’, know your GUJ member is a monthly series initiated by the Goa Union of Journalists where a senior GUJ member of repute will be introduced to its members. The GUJ member will speak about his experiences of working with the fast evolving Goan media.
