Marie,
I would do this about once in 2-3 weeks - every 3 weeks is when we do it on our farms. When the sun is low, please.

Panchgavya is not harmful like the chemical pesticide. 10% solution (100 ml panchgavya + 1 lit water) is good for soil and foliar spray.Once in 15 days is advisable...We also got excellent results on pets. 50 ml for goats, cows, pigs, and dogs and 20 ml for chickens once in 15 days..its good for immune power.....heals the wounds and rashes. thats our personal experience on Panchgavya in last 4 years.

If all the ingredients are not availaible for panchgavya u can try Amritdravan for farming - 5 lit cow urin + 5 kg cow dung + 500 gms jaggery..+ Ripe Bananas (optional) keep for 24 hrs. stir nicely. u can start using 10% solution after 24 hrs

Uur organic farmers are using egg solution as a foliar spray  ..its excellent and cheaper solution for vegetable crop..Below mentioned is the formula:-
6 eggs (entire egg with shell... dont break) + Lime juice (let the eggs dip in juice..no water pure lemon juice) = keep it in air tight container for 15 days in a cool and dry place (Not in a refrigerator) . After 15 days Egg shell will dissolve in the lemon juice. Little bit of white stuff will float on the solution you can remove it with a spoon. Close your nose with a cloth or a nose cap as it stinks badly due to relase of sulphur. Add 500 gms of jaggery and stir well. Keep the solution in air tight container for 15 days. Solution is ready to use after 15 days (total 30 days). You can use 1% solution (1ml + 1 liter water OR 10 ml + 10 liters of water) for spraying it on vegetable crop.

Corrections for Egg solution
Its 250 gms of jaggery for six egg solution. u need approximately 10-12 good lemons to get enough lemon juice that will well immerse the egg inside the solution...
