For a change, it's on "Africar", but a man who stood for what he was and cared less for being hated by most of the Goans for joining hands with Mau Mau, the militant organization which fought for Kenya's independence from the British.

Is there a story that related to what has been trending on this forum, the Portuguese impress on India, and Goa in its embrace?

i did write a review on Shiraj Durrani's book on Pio Gama-Pinto: The Unsung Marty (forgets the full title).

It is interesting to note that in the genesis of FRELIMO, at least four Goan leaders were involved: Sérgio Vieira, Óscar Monteiro, Valeriano Inocêncio de Araújo Ferrão, and Aquino de Bragança and Jorge Rebelo of Goan descent.

The Front for the Liberation of Mozambique (FRELIMO) initiated a guerrilla campaign against Portuguese rule in September 1964.

Several of them were students that met in Portugal at the "Casa dos Estudantes do Império" (House of the Students of the Empire), an association promoted by the Estado Novo that ironically turned to be a "school" to awake anti-dictatorship and anticolonial consciousnesses.
