Sharing the sad news of the passing of Professor Diogo Ramada Curto, a great Portuguese historian and scholar and Director of the Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal. He will be sorrowfully missed by those of us who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was the grandson of the great Portuguese writer and attorney Ramada Curto whom I had met as a child and whose column “Preto no Branco” in the Diário de Lisboa I enjoyed reading.
