Dear members,
In this essay, I have detailed all the primary sources that comprise this book which is 500 print pages, 24 pages of contextualised photographs, and about 1000 citations, of which at least 700 comprise primary sources.
I have also detailed sources which for reasons of travel I could not investigate, and for researches who want to build on this narrative to pursue.
There is much in this narrative for ideas for phd dissertation and academic papers.
Key words: Indian Ocean, Goa, Zanzibar, Portugal, Britain, Germany, migration, diaspora, 19th century, trade, slavery, racial identities, club, culture.
