Thanks for posting that, Frederick.

I am a great believer in medicinal herbs and can vouch for their effectiveness as I was the beneficiary of such treatment when I was on vacation in Goa from Kenya. I was suffering from a very painful earache which wouldn’t respond to painkillers or other medications. To my surprise and later relief one of our villagers, on hearing of my plight said he had the cure!

Going up to the hillside, he returned with a bunch of leaves which he chopped up and making a funnel from a jackfruit leaf, dropped the chopped leaves into the funnel and got my wife to heat up a tablespoon of coconut oil which he later poured over the leaves, collecting the herbal treated hot oil in another tablespoon which he poured into my ear when it was reasonably cold .

. By the evening, my earache was gone! This was some seventy odd years ago and, believe it or not, I have not suffered from a earache ever since!
