You may be interested to know about the origin of the name

 for the village of Arossim.

 It was earlier mentioned in my books on Arossim in 2011 and 2015.

Now there is historical evidence in support of the original sermon preached in 1658.

A small correction: “língua canarim” is Konkani, not Kanarese. The European missionaries of Miguel de Almeida’s time mistakenly referred to Konkani as “língua canarim”.
