Call for Papers: Multidisciplinary Workshop on Madhei

Dear Colleagues,

The Multidisciplinary Cluster on Mhadei (MCM), Goa University Invites Paper Proposals for a two day workshop on

 

“MHADEI- A MULTI DISCIPLINARY  EXPLORATION”

                                   on 30-31 October 2023

                                        at Goa University

I

                        It is proposed to have two major components of the workshop:

 

a)     Mhadei river from a Social, Historical, Cultural, Political and Economic perspective

 

b)     The issues relating to Biodiversity, Environment, Hydrology, Flora and Fauna in the event of proposed diversion of the river and its impact on the Mhadei Basin.

 

Select any theme of your choice from above with a brief 500 word abstract and send by 13^th October 2023 containing the core exploration of your work and methodology used. Preference will be given to the papers which add further value to the existing work on the area. Further expansion of an existing work and having significant contribution to policy too are welcome. Selected Papers (around 3500 words) in the APA style with in-text citations must reach r...@unigoa.ac.in by 28^th October 2023.

Multidisciplinary Disciplinary Cluster (MCM), Goa University seeks to be an organic knowledge hub bringing in expertise from a variety of disciplines such as environment, hydrology, economics, politics, history, culture and literature, which would create a body of knowledge and act as a disseminator for preserving and protecting River Mhadei through expert talks, documentation, scientific, social, cultural and economic studies, preparation of policy/ research papers for both government and academia.
