The V M Salgaocar Foundation invites applications for it's second edition of the Scholar-in-Residence Programme 2025. This 30-day residency is designed for writers actively working on a book project focused on Goa.
Residency Benefits
- Round-trip domestic air travel (economy)
- Accommodation and an honorarium of Rs. 5,000/- per day during the residency period
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a resident of India.
- The applicant should be working on or completing an original manuscript in English, whether scholarly or literary, fiction or non-fiction.
- The manuscript must focus on Goa and may explore themes (but not limited to) such as history, culture, diaspora, literature, environment, tourism, economy, geography, and politics.
- The applicant must demonstrate significant progress on the project, including 1-2 book chapters, a detailed project outline, and supporting documentation.
Application Process
Applicants must submit the following:
Curriculum vitae (1-2 pages)
Brief description of the book project (1-2 pages)
One or two chapters of the manuscript
