Nearly six-and-a-half hours of recordings at the First All India Konkani Sahitya and Sonskrutik Maha Sammelan (Literature and Cultural Grand Confluence). This saw the coming together of the 'excluded' Romi and Kannada scripts of Konkani (two others have been neglected and sidelined in recent years as well, Malayalam and Perso-Arabic, in the rush towards "uniformity" and "standardisation"). These script-dialectal groups have been bristling for some time now by their exclusion from Konkani recognition (as given to the Nagari/Devanagari script). This recording covers almost the entire speeches of the event, some music, skits and comedy shows too. It is in audio-alone format. You might need to retune the volume settings at times, to take care of the fluctuating sound  levels, but it should be okay overall. Some gaps of silence have been edited out, to keep the recording time shorter. So has music during the lunch and tea breaks.
